PT-141
What is PT-141?

PT-141 (Bremelanotide) is a synthetic peptide analogue of α-MSH (alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone). Unlike PDE5 inhibitors (like Viagra or Cialis) which work on the vascular system, PT-141 works directly on the central nervous system by activating melanocortin receptors in the brain to increase sexual desire and arousal.

1. Reconstitution & Dosage
PT-141 typically comes in 10mg vials. Because it is highly potent and the response varies significantly between individuals, "titrating" (starting low) is essential.
• Reconstitution: Add 2ml of Bacteriostatic Water to a 10mg vial.
• The Concentration: This creates 5mg (5,000mcg) per 1ml.
• Syringe Measurement (U-100 Insulin Syringe):
o 10 units (0.10ml) = 0.5mg (Low/Starting dose)
o 20 units (0.20ml) = 1.0mg (Standard/Moderate dose)
o 30 units (0.30ml) = 1.5mg (Strong dose)
o 40 units (0.40ml) = 2.0mg (Maximum recommended dose)

2. The Protocol (Timing & Frequency)
PT-141 is an "on-demand" peptide, not a daily supplement.
Parameter Recommendation
Timing 4 to 6 hours before activity.
Duration of Effect Up to 24–72 hours (varies by person).
Max Frequency No more than 2 times per week (or 8x per month).
The "Delay" Warning: One of the most common mistakes is expecting immediate results. For many, the effects do not "kick in" for at least 4 hours. Injecting too close to the desired window often leads to the effects peaking the next morning instead.

3. Administration
• Subcutaneous (SubQ): Standard injection into the abdominal fat or thigh.
• Storage: Once reconstituted, it must be refrigerated. It is a very stable peptide and can last up to 60 days in the fridge.

4. Potential Side Effects
PT-141 is famous for its "side effect profile," which usually occurs shortly after injection and fades before the benefits begin.
• Nausea: Very common. Many researchers take an antihistamine or ginger 30 minutes prior to mitigate this.
• Flushing: A temporary "hot" feeling in the face or chest.
• Increased Blood Pressure: It can cause a temporary spike in BP; those with hypertension should monitor closely.
• Spontaneous Erections: In men, this can be prolonged (priapism is rare but possible at high doses).

The "Romance" Stack
Researchers often stack PT-141 with Melanotan II or low-dose Cialis:
1. PT-141: Drives the neurological desire (the "mental" aspect).
2. PDE5 Inhibitor: Supports the physical blood flow (the "mechanical" aspect).
Note: Stacking increases the risk of side effects like nausea and flushing.

Quick Checklist for a 10mg Vial:
• At 1mg/dose: One vial provides 10 uses.
• At 2mg/dose: One vial provides 5 uses.
