PEG MGF

What is PEG MGF?

PEG MGF (Pegylated Mechano Growth Factor) is a variant of IGF-1 that is specifically designed to stay in the body longer to facilitate systemic and localized muscle repair.

While standard MGF has a half-life of only a few minutes, the addition of polyethylene glycol (PEG) extends that half-life to several days. This makes it a powerful tool for recovery and muscle cell "recruitment" rather than the rapid, insulin-like growth seen with IGF-DES.

1. Reconstitution & Dosage
PEG MGF typically comes in 2mg (2,000mcg) vials.

• Reconstitution: Add 2ml of Bacteriostatic Water to a 2mg vial.
• The Concentration: This creates 1mg (1,000mcg) per 1ml.
• Syringe Measurement (U-100 Insulin Syringe):
o 20 units (0.20ml) = 200mcg (Standard research dose)
o 40 units (0.40ml) = 400mcg (High-intensity dose)

Common Research Dosage:
• Standard Dose: 200mcg to 400mcg per injection.
• Frequency: 2 to 3 times per week.

2. The Cycle (Timing is Everything)
Unlike most peptides, PEG MGF should not be used pre-workout. It works best when your natural Growth Hormone and IGF levels have begun to settle, typically on rest days or several hours after training.

Phase Duration Frequency
Active Cycle 4 to 6 Weeks 2-3x per Week
The Break 4 Weeks OFF

Timing: Best administered on rest days or late in the evening on training days. This allows the peptide to signal satellite cells to fuse with damaged muscle fibers during the deep recovery phase.

3. Administration

• Subcutaneous (SubQ): Standard injection into the stomach fat. Because it is "Pegylated," it is systemic and does not need to be injected into the specific muscle you trained.

• Intramuscular (IM): Can be used, but SubQ is equally effective for the PEG version.

4. Storage & Stability
• Refrigeration: Mandatory after reconstitution.
• Stability: PEG MGF is quite stable; it will last 28–30 days in the fridge.
• Fragility: Like all GH-related peptides, do not shake the vial. Swirl gently.

5. Potential Side Effects
• Lethargy: Some researchers report feeling tired or "heavy" after injection; this is often a sign of the body shifting into a deep recovery state.
• Injection Site Redness: Mild irritation is possible but usually fades within an hour.
• Hypoglycemia: While much less potent than IGF-1 LR3, it can still affect blood sugar. Avoid injecting on a completely empty stomach.

The "Hypertrophy Recovery" Stack
PEG MGF is frequently stacked with IGF-1 DES:
1. IGF-DES: Used pre-workout for the localized pump and receptor activation.
2. PEG MGF: Used on rest days to actually repair the tissue and create new muscle cells.

Quick Checklist for a 2mg Vial:
• At 200mcg (3x week): One vial lasts over 3 weeks.
• For a 6-week cycle: You will need 2 vials.
