L-Carnitine
What is L-Carnitine?

L-Carnitine is not technically a peptide; it is an amino acid derivative that plays a critical role in energy metabolism by transporting long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria to be burned for fuel.
While oral L-Carnitine has very poor bioavailability (about 10%), the injectable version is highly effective and widely used in research for fat oxidation, androgen receptor up-regulation, and exercise recovery.

1. Reconstitution & Dosage
L-Carnitine usually comes as a pre-mixed liquid (often 250mg/ml or 500mg/ml) rather than a lyophilized powder.
• Standard Concentration: 500mg/ml is the most common.
• Standard Daily Dose: 250mg to 1,000mg.
• Syringe Measurement (using 500mg/ml concentration):
o 50 units (0.50ml) = 250mg (Starting dose)
o 100 units (1.0ml) = 500mg (Standard performance dose)

2. The Cycle & Timing
L-Carnitine requires a "saturation" phase to fully load the muscle cells. Unlike many peptides, it can be run for long periods.
Parameter Recommendation
Cycle Duration 12 to 16 Weeks (or continuous)
Frequency Once Daily
Timing Post-Workout or with a high-carb meal.
The Insulin Requirement: L-Carnitine requires an insulin spike to be effectively "pushed" into the muscle cells. Researchers always administer it with at least 30–50g of fast-acting carbohydrates (or immediately after a meal).

3. Administration: The "Volume" Factor
Injectable L-Carnitine involves a relatively large volume of liquid (1ml or more).
• Intramuscular (IM): This is the preferred method. SubQ injections of 1ml+ can be very painful and cause "welts."
• Best Sites: Delts, ventroglutes, or vastus lateralis (quads).
• Technique: Inject slowly. Because of the volume, rotating sites daily is essential to prevent scar tissue buildup.

4. Storage & Stability
• Temperature: Room temperature is usually fine for L-Carnitine, but check the label.
• Light: Keep away from direct sunlight.
• Sterility: Always wipe the stopper with alcohol; because you are drawing large volumes frequently, the risk of contamination is higher than with micro-dose peptides.

5. Potential Side Effects
• The "Fishy" Smell: At high doses (usually over 2,000mg), some people report a fishy body odor due to the breakdown of carnitine into TMAO. This is rare with injectable versions compared to oral.
• Hypoglycemia: Because it is taken with carbs to trigger insulin, be mindful of blood sugar fluctuations.
• PIP (Post-Injection Pain): If the concentration is too high (e.g., 600mg/ml), it can sting.

The "Androgen Support" Stack
L-Carnitine is famous in research for up-regulating androgen receptors, making other compounds more effective.
1. L-Carnitine: Increases the density of androgen receptors in muscle tissue.
2. Testosterone/Anabolics: Provide the "keys" to those receptors.
Together, they allow for better results with lower dosages of other hormones.

Quick Checklist for a 50ml Bottle (500mg/ml):
• At 500mg/day: The bottle lasts 50 days.
• Supplies: 1ml or 3ml syringes with 25g-27g needles (standard IM size).
